泰國公主詩琳通（Mahe ChakriSirindhorn）今天受聘為山東大學名譽教授，詩琳通希望中泰兩國在文化、教育領域開展更多的合作交流，為中泰友誼培養更多的友好使者。

中新社報導，詩琳通公主7日在山東大學，接受校長張榮授予的山東大學名譽教授聘書，並佩戴校徽。詩琳通表示，她非常開心能和自己喜歡的作家老舍一樣成為山東大學教授。

她用流利的中文說：「山東是孔孟之鄉，傳統文化底蘊深厚，山東大學是歷史悠久的名校，培養了很多人才。30年前，在我母親的建議下，我開始學習中文，從此和中國、中國文化結下了不解之緣。」

詩琳通公主指出，她將很多中國小說翻譯成泰文，讓泰國人民更好地瞭解中國的歷史、社會、文化。

她強調，互相瞭解是增進友誼的基礎，希望中泰兩國在文化、教育領域開展更多的合作交流，為中泰友誼培養更多的友好使者。

山東大學目前有來自世界110個國家的1813名留學生，其中31名來自泰國，就讀專業包括中國文學、國際關係、金融經濟、企業管理、漢語教育等。(中央社)
