搭飛機也可收發簡訊　每發1則27元

長榮航空2架最新的波音777-300ER客機除能提供旅客使用個人手機，「原機、原號碼」在高空收發簡訊，也有國籍航空首見的空中無線上網服務功能。不過旅客只能在飛機飛行高度高於2萬呎時，即飛機起飛後約15至20分鐘後，才能以刷卡付費的方式收發手機簡訊或使用機上Wi-Fi上網。
 
長榮航空表示，新機導入的最新一代Panasonic eX3機上娛樂系統及GCS(Global Communication Suite)全球通訊服務系統，具有3G和Wi-Fi功能，透過飛機上方的碟型天線和外太空的衛星連接，與地面取得訊號，因此，旅客在機上使用相關設備時，手機正常開機即可，不必調整到飛航模式。
 
旅客從機上發簡訊，以中華電信的用戶為例，每一則簡訊收取27.31元台幣，機上旅客接收來自地面的簡訊則無需付費。在機艙內上網則採計時計價，旅客可依需求自行選擇1小時11.95美元(約360元台幣)或24小時21.95美元（約660元台幣）上述價格均已含稅。旅客只要選「EVA WiFi」，依螢幕指示線上刷卡付費，即可立即開通使用(陳如嬌／美國西雅圖報導)
